Coffee Morning and Christmas Fayre

On November 21st we held our annual Christmas Coffee Morning at St Chad's Parish Centre, starting at 10 am. We followed the pattern of last year's successful event and used the smaller meeting hall. There were cards and calendars, books and CDs and a food stall;  those who had ordered their Christmas cakes and mince pies well in advance collected efficiently. It was a very successful event. We sat at tables drinking our tea or coffee and eating our delicious mince pies and fruit cake - with cheese. We had begun to believe that Christmas wasn't that far off, reminded by the attractive display of cards and wrapping paper. We found potential presents among the books and CDs and quickly left bare the home-made goodies stall, some of us intending to claim the results as made in our very own homes!
