YLCE Funds

YLCE, like all charities, are always looking for funds, in our case funds to support education for women and to help students who want to continue their education. We offer help to students to pay their course fees; we also support causes that are championing education for women.

The Awards Fund was set up in 1989 and since that time has given over a thousand women money towards their studies. In 2020 we received over 350 applicatuions and were able to award £28,000 in grants. As education becomes ever more expensive, the need for charities like YLCE becomes greater. At the moment, we can only support a third of the applications we receive.

Please help us support more women who are working hard to develop careers, support themselves, and play a full part in society.

*I confirm I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities that I donate to will reclaim on my gifts for that tax year. I understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. I understand the charity will reclaim 28p of tax on every £1 that I gave up to 5 April 2008 and will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give on or after 6 April 2008 or whatever sum is designated for this purpose under law.
