CHATTY MEETING AT THE MILK CHURN, SCARCROFT

On 9th September we gathered at The Milk Churn in Scarcroft, that most praiseworthy working dairy farm. A few of us had decided to arrive for lunch. The café wasn't very busy and we were privileged to have our orders taken at the table. We all chose toasted panini with various fillings, served with a good healthy salad. We then had the difficult task of deciding which flavour of their wonderful gelato 'ice-cream' we would indulge in next. We eventually moved out to enjoy our coffees (and melting gelatos) in the warm sunshine. Not many other members joined us, but we still thought that the event had been well worth suggesting: we had a relaxing, enjoyable time, amazed at how our time had flown, as we chatted away, putting the world to rights, of course.
