Annual General Meeting 2nd March 2026

We held this year's AGM on 2nd March at St Chad's Parish Centre. The business meeting began at 10:15. At 11:00, we welcomed members who had been unable to attend the earlier business meeting, along with other friends and acquaintances. We were to listen to 2 of our recent Awards recipients. We heard first from the ebullient Alexandra, a veterinary student at the University of Lancashire, and her unusual route to vet school via a degree in Spanish and Italian. Next, we were fascinated to learn from Sinead about her Cambridge PhD study into the use of metaphor in the treatment of alcohol and drug abuse. A delicious lunch followed at 1:00, provided by the talented core members of our Hospitality and Events Team.
