The Twelve Days of Christmas
Recent research into the domestic life of an eighteenth century household has revealed correspondence apparently from the recipient of this generosity. The period instrument ensemble Ad Hoc Baroque bring the story to life with readings from this correspondence and musical interludes by composers of the period, providing an entertaining and perhaps salutary lesson for the over-indulgent gift giver.
